Applied Scientific Technologies UK Ltd specialises in the development of robotics, digitalisation and hardware integration into life and physical sciences, industrial laboratory and medical applications.  Since its inception in 2017, it is rapidly positioning itself in the market place, gaining a reputation for developing and producing high quality solutions.

Our vision is to deliver and support world-class collaborative robotics, controls and autonomous systems to help companies improve services, productivity, downtime and allow companies to undertake scale up development projects.  Both attended and unattended robotics will undertake processes allowing companies to automate and achieve what wasn’t possible before. 

The Products

Applied Scientific Technologies have, over the last 18 months, developed an award winning modular, scalable, collaborative robotic work cell ‘The Hyve’, described as the ‘Future of Robotics’.  Alongside ‘Hyve’ we have developed ‘DEFT’ Data Enabled Formulation Toolset to aid bench scientists by providing formulation instructions in a clear way and automatically extract important data from devices which are currently standalone.

About the Role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual with an extensive background in business development management for robotics and digitalisation in life and physical sciences.  The ideal candidate will be able to sell the company vision, add input and influence not only the product development, but the company direction.  Strong marketing, branding and networking is essential with a willingness to work within a dynamic team to get the job done to a high standard. 

Main Duties:

·       Proactive sales calls and meetings

·       Promote Applied Scientific Technologies products to existing and new clients 

·       Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients 

·       Identify new sales opportunities and markets 

·       Work with sales and engineering colleagues to develop proposals 

·       Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product or service will meet client needs 

·       Influence product development

·       Recording and maintaining client data

·       Sales forecasting to the Directors 

·       Travelling to visit existing and potential new clients

·       Meeting regular sales targets

·       To carry out any other reasonable management request

 

Essential Job Specific Skills & Qualification:

·       Proven track record in Business Development for robotics and digitalisation in life and physical sciences

·       Strong marketing, branding and networking

·       Understanding of the cosmetics, life sciences and healthcare industries

·       Proven Track record of sales leadership managing existing and new clients

·       Build relationship with strategic partners for adoption and integration of their technology

·       Attended and presented to customers as part of pre-sales solutioning and at Global Partner and Industry events 

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills 

·       Excellent time management and ability to work under pressure

·       Highly organised and self-motivated

·       Excellent attention to detail whilst able to grasp the bigger picture

·       Able to use own initiative and work without supervision

·       Flexibility to undertake ad-hoc UK & European travel as required  

·       Ability to travel with full driving license
