Digital Twins
A Digital Twin (Virtual Commissioning) is a simulation model that accurately replicates physical systems and their characteristics in the virtual world. When presented with same inputs, an effective Twin will react and exhibit the same operational behaviour as the physical system it represents. It forms a powerful asset enabling visualisation and assessment of system operational performance before committing to process changes such as prototyping, technology upgrades, new layouts, new methods.
For Large Corporations and SMEs, Digital Twins provide real process transparency, remove dependency on key resource and ultimately forms a key IP asset for continuous process improvement.
Development of a digital twin and interfacing with physical systems requires multi-domain knowledge, simulation model development and real time hardware in the loop testing experience.
Simulation is at the core to what we do. Our system engineers use high fidelity models, real time simulation and hardware in then loop techniques to develop high integrity automation and control systems where failure is not an option. For some of our applications, degraded operation could result in significant data/financial loss or even loss of life.
